Data-driven education planning and management for Bauchi State Basic Education
The Education Management Information System (EMIS) is the central data repository and management system for basic education in Bauchi State. It provides real-time data for evidence-based decision making, policy formulation, and educational planning.
The system performs critical functions in educational data management and analysis:
Annual comprehensive data collection from all basic education institutions across 20 LGAs
Monitor student enrollment, attendance, progression, and learning outcomes
Track teacher qualifications, deployment, training, and professional development
Analyze educational indicators and generate performance reports for stakeholders
Geographic information system for school location and infrastructure planning
Generate statutory reports for UBEC, State Government, and development partners
The system follows a structured data collection and management process:
1. Data Entry: School-level data entry by designated personnel
2. LGA Validation: Local Government Education Authorities verify and validate data
3. SUBEB Processing: Central processing and quality assurance at headquarters
4. Analysis & Reporting: Data analysis and report generation for decision-making
5. Dissemination: Sharing insights with stakeholders and development partners
